This term Deer Class have been working on a top secret mission for NASA. A few weeks ago, we received a letter from one of their directors asking for our help.
NASA are looking at what might happen in the future when Earth runs out of resources and asked us to design a space city that they could build on Mars.
We had to think about lots of different factors, such as the temperature, the lack of oxygen, the materials that could be used, etc. It wasn’t as easy as we thought and we needed to do a lot of planning.
The class split into six teams to design their cities and we then voted for which one we thought would be best. It was quite a tough decision.
We learned a lot about planning a city, but we also learned a lot about how to work together as a team and how to listen to other people’s ideas.
Remember, this mission is TOP SECRET so please don’t tell anyone!!
